Brussels: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by King Philippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, today visited Brussels Town Hall in the Kingdom of Belgium. When he arrived at Brussels Town Hall, His Majesty the Sultan was received by the Mayor of Brussels. According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty viewed this ancient historical edifice, famous for its unique architectural design and for being the only remaining building from the Middle Ages. Commemorative gifts were exchanged and memorial photos were taken for His Majesty the Sultan and the Belgian monarch on the balcony overlooking the outer square of Brussels Town Hall. Children of members of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brussels, the GCC and Arab missions, as well as attendees from Belgium and other nationalities participated in welcoming His Majesty the Sultan, waving the flags of the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Belgium. His Majesty the Sultan and the King waved back to them from the balcony of Brussels Town Hall. At the conclusion of his Royal tour, His Majesty the Sultan signed the Visitors Book, expressing his delight at visiting the historical monument, deemed a unique ancient architectural masterpiece that embodies the antiquity of the friendly Kingdom of Belgium.
