Brussels: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Phillippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, exchanged orders and commemorative gifts at the Royal Palace in Brussels today during His Majesty's state visit to Belgium. According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty the Sultan conferred the "Al Said Order" on King Phillippe and the 'Oman First Order' on Queen Mathilde, recognizing the advanced relations of friendship, cooperation, and partnership between Oman and Belgium. Additionally, His Majesty bestowed Royal orders on several Belgian officials. In a reciprocal gesture, King Phillippe awarded His Majesty the 'Order of Leopold,' the highest order in Belgium, to commend His Majesty and acknowledge the distinguished relations between the two nations. The Belgian Monarch also presented Royal orders to members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty. The two leaders further solidified their diplomatic ties by exchanging commemorative gifts. The ceremony was attended by members of the o fficial delegations from both countries and several senior Belgian officials.
