Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, and German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, on Wednesday signed an agreement under which the German authorities would provide a donation worth two million euros to support the army, of which one million euros would be allocated to secure fuel and one million euros to support medical care. This gift comes as an addition to a similar donation presented previously. Major General Aoun considered that this assistance is extremely important in light of the current exceptional circumstances, expressing his appreciation for the German authorities' stand by the military institution. The German ambassador also stressed that his country is committed to supporting the army in various ways in view of the vital tasks it undertakes.' Source: National News Agency - Lebanon
