Oil Prices Jump to Their Highest Level Since March 2022

Muscat: Oil prices today jumped to their highest level in nearly four years, fueled by reports of further disruptions to Middle East supplies. Brent crude futures for June delivery rose more than $8 to $126.09 a barrel, their highest level since March 2022, after gaining 6.1 percent in the previous session.

According to Oman News Agency, the June contract, which has risen for nine consecutive days, expires on Tuesday. The more actively traded July contract was at $113.10, up $2.66, or 2.4 percent, after rising 5.8 percent in the previous session. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for June delivery climbed $2.42, or 2.3 percent, to $109.30 a barrel, after surging 7 percent in the previous session.
