The National Defence College (NDC)-of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies-today began to implement the 8th parallel programme titled 'Cybersecurity within digital transition'. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC). Two lectures were delivered during the first day of the programme: The first dealt with the objectives of 'National Strategy for Cybersecurity' and the second was titled 'National Programme for Cybersecurity Industry'. The 4-day programme, which conclude on 19 September, seeks to develop the leadership skills and capabilities of leaders in government institutions and private sector establishments, as well as senior officers in the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security units. The opening ceremony was attended by senior SAF officers, military commanders, CEOs from private sector establishments and the staff of the National Defence College. Source: Oman News Agency
