Muscat: Najeeb Yahya Al Balushi, Head of the Protocols Department at the Foreign Ministry handed over the consular patent to Lujaina Mohsen Haider Darwish, appointing her as an honorary consul of the Republic of South Africa in Muscat.
According to Oman News Agency, this appointment marks a significant step in strengthening diplomatic relations between South Africa and Oman. The role of an honorary consul typically involves supporting and promoting the interests of the appointing country within the host nation, facilitating trade, cultural exchanges, and assisting citizens from the consul's country.
Lujaina Mohsen Haider Darwish's appointment is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation and foster a deeper understanding between the two nations.
