Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cuba convened the inaugural round of their political consultations session in Muscat today. The session was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy for the Omani delegation and Gerardo Pe±alver, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing Cuba.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing joint cooperation and strengthening the existing bilateral relations. Both nations expressed their commitment to advancing collaboration across various sectors. Additionally, the session included deliberations on several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The session witnessed the participation of Vladimir Andres Gonzalez, the Ambassador of Cuba to Oman, and Dr. Hanan Ibrahim Al Shihi, the Head of the America Department at the Foreign Ministry. Several other officials from both countries also attended the discussions.
