Algiers: The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the 27th Algiers International Book Fair, which continues until 16 November 2024, witnessed a significant turnout from the Algerian public. Visitors showed a keen interest in exploring Omani books, publications, and various aspects of Oman’s culture and history.
According to Oman News Agency, Said Salim Al Riyami, Director of the Department of Introduction to Islam and Cultural Exchange at the Iftaa Office, Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, highlighted the Ministry’s participation with approximately 80 titles. These include 43 books available for sale and 41 display-only books authored by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman. Additionally, there are numerous publications from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The pavilion features a diverse collection of publications that delve into Oman’s history and architecture, with titles focusing on mosques, ancient shrines, jurisprudence, arts, and Arab-I
slamic philosophy.
