MoU Signed Between WHO Office, Al Mudhaibi Healthy City.

Muscat: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed today between the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Office in Oman and Al Mudhaibi Healthy City. The agreement aims to further enhance the collaboration between the two entities in promoting health and well-being within the city.

According to Oman News Agency, the MoU was signed by Sheikh Saud Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Al Mudhaibi, who serves as the Supervisor General of the Healthy City, and Dr. Jean Yaacoub Jabbour, the representative of the WHO Office in Oman. This partnership is part of the broader WHO’s Healthy Cities programme, which is being implemented in the Sultanate of Oman under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.

The programme focuses on integrating health considerations into urban planning and governance, thereby fostering environments that support healthy lifestyles. The signing of the MoU marks a significant step in advancing these goals within Al Mudhaibi, aligning with Oman’s national health strategies.
