Nepalese authorities said on Friday that 65 people are missing as two passenger buses were swept away in a landslide in Simaltal of Chitwan district in Nepal. The Kathmandu Post reported quoting Chitwan Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav that one Kathmandu-bound passenger bus carrying 41 people and another bus en route to Gaur from the capital carrying 24 were hit by the landslide and swept away at Simaltal on Narayanghat-Mugling road section earlier this morning. Nepal police and armed force teams are engaged in the rescue operation, the police said. Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed grief over the incident and asked concerned authorities to do everything possible as part of the search and rescue operations. So far, more than 100 people have died in Nepal following landslides and flooding that hit the Himalayan nation last month, with transportation severely as well. Source: Kuwait News Agency
