Algeria Fight Back to Beat Jordan 2-1 in World Cup Group Clash

Algeria: Algeria came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Jordan at San Francisco Bay Arena in their Group Ten second-round match of the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Jordan took the lead through Nizar Al Rashdan in the 36th minute, but Nadhir Benbouali levelled for Algeria in the 69th minute, before Amine Gouiri struck the winner in the 82nd minute.

According to Oman News Agency, the result gave Algeria their first three points of the tournament. Argentina top the group with six points, followed by Austria and Algeria on three points each, while Jordan remain without a point.
