Muscat: Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, has departed from Muscat after a visit to the Sultanate of Oman. During his stay, he had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

According to Oman News Agency, Sheikh Sultan was escorted at his departure by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Oman. The visit also included Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah.
