Amman: Represented by the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority, the Sultanate of Oman took part in a regional conference in Jordan titled “Transport Sector Integrity in the Arab Region: Risks, Solutions and Roles of Stakeholders”. Oman’s delegation was headed by Zahra Mohammed Al Lawati, Deputy Chairperson for Audit on Authorities and Companies. The delegation also included ministers, representatives of ministries entrusted with the transport sector, and heads of audit, integrity, and anti-corruption bodies.
According to Oman News Agency, the conference attendees included representatives of regional and international organizations and experts from research centers and private sector establishments and specialized civil society organizations from 18 Arab and regional countries. The conference was a result of a regional partnership between the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
