Muscat: Oman Newspaper will publish the first edition of a new Business Supplement this Thursday (13 February 2025). The new edition aims to provide in-depth analyses of local and global economic issues, and to shed light on the economic transformations witnessed by the Sultanate of Oman and the region.
According to Oman News Agency, this supplement responds to the growing need to discuss economic issues from an intellectual and strategic perspective, going beyond daily news to analyzing major trends and their impact on the future of the Omani and global economy. The first edition includes a set of articles and reports specializing in local and global issues, most notably: the future of jobs in light of technological changes, automation and vocational mentoring, their related complications, in addition to the implications of the new US policies to the global economy.
Asim bin Salim Al Shidi, Editor-in-Chief of Oman Newspaper, stated that the supplement was envisaged to be a platform for serious economic dialogue, where business issues are addressed with an analytical vision, with a focus on the perspectives and strategic dimensions of the economy. He added that the supplement seeks to provide solid and simplified economic content tailored to meet expectations of readers from different backgrounds, whether they are economic experts or those interested in business affairs.
