Oman and UNICEF Discuss Strategies for Enhancing Humanitarian and Development Cooperation

Muscat: Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, met with Carla Haddad Mardini, Director of the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships Division at UNICEF, to discuss cooperation between Oman and the United Nations agency. The meeting took place at the Foreign Ministry and focused on supporting initiatives with sustainable impacts in humanitarian and development sectors.

According to Oman News Agency, the discussions highlighted Oman's role in endorsing multilateral efforts related to sustainable development and humanitarian actions. The meeting emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in various fields to facilitate impactful initiatives that address current challenges.

The meeting was attended by several officials, including Omar Said Al Kathiri, Permanent Representative of Oman to the United Nations, and Sumaira Chowdhury, UNICEF Representative in Oman, along with other key representatives from both sides.
