Muscat: In a strategic move to strengthen ties and explore investment opportunities, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) convened to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector. The meeting, which brought together representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Exports Development Authority along with private sector companies in Saudi Arabia, aimed to leverage the experiences of both nations to improve health outcomes.

According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Manthiri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning and Health Organization, emphasized the significance of these collaborative meetings. He highlighted the potential to benefit from shared experiences across various sectors, with a particular focus on health. Dr. Al Manthiri also pointed out the critical importance of automating health systems and undertaking efforts to rebuild, redesign, and reengineer the health sector to meet future demands.

The discussions underscored a mutual interest in advancing healthcare delivery and shared objectives of integrating technology into health systems. Both countries are seeking to capitalize on their partnership to drive innovation and efficiency in the health sector, presenting new avenues for investment and development.
