Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed today for the Republic of Turkiye on a two-day state visit, during which he is scheduled to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The visit is in response to an invitation extended by the Turkish President and aims to further strengthen the strong relations between Oman and Turkiye.
According to Oman News Agency, during the visit, the leaders will engage in discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations in a way that benefits their respective populations. His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by a gathering of high-ranking officials, including HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, and HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, among others.
His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by an official delegation comprising key figures such as HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
The delegation also includes representatives from various sectors, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of the discussions expected during the visit.
The visit underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to deepen ties and explore new avenues of cooperation, showcasing the evolving partnership between Oman and Turkiye.
