The Arab Inter-Parliament Union condemned on Wednesday the Israeli occupation's attacks on Al-Jaouni and Al-Awda schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Khan Yunis City in Gaza. In a statement, the union's current president Ibrahim Boughali, Speaker of the Algerian Parliament, denounced the Israeli occupation's war crimes and massacres in Palestine, and condemned the international community's silence. The union also called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation into a ceasefire as soon as possible for humanitarian aid and medical relief to enter the Gaza strip. Palestinians have been living under tragic conditions caused by the sanctions and siege of the Israeli occupation; innocent civilians face famine, disease outbreaks and death.
