Arab Forum for Tourism Focuses on Enhancing Investment in GCC

Al Buraimi: The First Arab Forum for Tourism and Investment is actively exploring strategies to enhance tourism investments across Arab countries, with a particular emphasis on showcasing the economic and tourism assets of the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, this two-day event is organized by the Governorate of Al Buraimi in partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s branch in Al Buraimi. The forum commenced with an opening ceremony under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.

Sayyid Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, highlighted in his address that the forum presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen Arab cooperation in tourism and investment sectors. He emphasized that the Governorate of Al Buraimi boasts impressive economic and tourism potential, positioning it as a vital gateway between Oman and the GCC states.

On the first day, the forum hosted two discussion panels. The first panel focused on strategies for developing and managing tourism destinations, while the second examined the role of regional collaboration in achieving tourism integration.
