Fourth Edition of Logistics Best Practices Award Launched in Oman


Muscat:The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, through the Oman Logistics Centre and in collaboration with the Oman Logistics Association, has introduced the fourth edition of the Best Practices Award in the Logistics Sector for 2027. This initiative aims to promote innovation, sustainability, and to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Oman’s logistics sector.



According to Oman News Agency, the award encourages logistics companies and institutions to present and exchange best practices, experiences, and innovative solutions. This contributes to the advancement of logistics operations and services, boosting operational efficiency, sector competitiveness, and supporting small and medium enterprises in the sector.



Participation is open to institutions involved in various logistics activities such as warehousing, shipping, air, sea, and land transport, customs brokerage, ports, free zones, ground handling, and cargo services.



The award features five main categories Omanisation, health and safety, net zero, continuous improvement and innovation, and Omani products and services. These categories align with sector development priorities, sustainability enhancements, and competitiveness improvements.



The Omanisation category focuses on initiatives that increase employment and qualification opportunities for Omani talent in logistics. The health and safety category aims at minimizing accidents and promoting occupational safety. The net zero category emphasizes emission reduction and environmental sustainability. Continuous improvement and innovation focus on employing innovative technologies for efficiency and productivity. The Omani products and services category promotes local products and services and supports local content.



Applications can be submitted until January 30, 2027, via the award’s website, “www.logistics-bpa.com”. Results will be announced on Logistics Day.
