Muscat: The Board of Trustees of Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) today held its second meeting for 2026, chaired by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on accrediting new specialty and local fellowship programs within the board's curriculum. The Board also considered the list of physicians applying for specialty programs for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Additionally, the Board reviewed recent changes in training programs and discussed internal accreditation reports for both programs and training centers. Developments in professional competency affairs were also on the agenda.
