Higher Education Minister Affirms Support for Institutions in White Nile State

Khartoum: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa has affirmed his ministry's commitment to supporting universities and higher education institutions in White Nile State, pledging to provide the necessary backing to enable them to play their role in the state's development and advancement.

According to Sudan News Agency, the remarks came during his meeting on Sunday in Khartoum with White Nile State Wali Lieutenant General Qamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla, where they discussed a number of higher education issues in the state. The minister pledged to visit the state in the coming days to assess conditions on the ground and inaugurate several service facilities affiliated with the National Students Welfare Fund, affirming efforts to provide technical solutions in admissions and create new opportunities in disciplines aligned with the state's needs.

For his part, the Wali said the meeting followed up on outcomes of a previous session with university directors in the state, which addressed support for the higher education process, including programs of the National Fund for Student Welfare in student housing and improving the learning environment.
