Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange 'MSX 30' index closed at 8,159.33 points today, marking a decrease of 33.9 points, or 0.41 percent, from the previous session's close of 8,193.24 points.
According to Oman News Agency, the trading value experienced a downturn, falling to RO 65.21 million, which represents a 3.3 percent decline from the RO 67.44 million recorded in the last session. The report also highlighted a decrease in market capitalization by 0.228 percent from the previous trading day, bringing it to approximately RO 38.08 billion.
Non-Omani investors were active in the market, recording purchases worth RO 8.85 million, which accounted for 13.57 percent of the total trading value. However, their sales slightly surpassed purchases, reaching RO 8.91 million, or 13.67 percent of the total. This led to a net decrease in non-Omani investment by RO 59,000, or 0.09 percent.
