Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, took part in a meeting chaired by Spain's Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, in Madrid. The meeting, attended by foreign ministers and senior officials, was held on the sidelines of a ministerial coordination session to discuss the situation in Gaza and support for the Palestinian cause, including the two-state solution. The discussions focused on regional and international efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, reduce tensions, and prevent military escalation in the West Bank and surrounding areas. Participants stressed the importance of facilitating humanitarian aid and supporting the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent, sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative, and international resolutions. The meeting also highlighted the need for Palestine to gain full membership in the United Nations, which contributes to security, stability, and a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
