Al Mudhaibi: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology today inaugurated 20 km of Al-Aflaj Road in Al Mudhaibi, North A'Sharqiyah Governorate. The road stretches from the Sinaw-Al-Mudhaibi intersection to Al-Aflaj village. According to Oman News Agency, the project involved the design and construction of a single carriageway with two lanes, each 3.5 meters wide, alongside asphalt shoulders measuring 1.5 meters in width. Additionally, box culverts were installed over minor wadis and larger drainage channels. The road has been equipped with all necessary safety features, including road markings, directional signs, metal barriers, and reflective road studs. The remaining sections of the road are expected to be completed in the coming months. Once fully open, the road will enhance commercial activity between the areas of Sinaw and Al Mudhaibi.
