Manama, The Ministry of Youth Affairs received a delegation from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), which is responsible for publishing the annual global reports on smart city indicators. During the meeting, Yousif Foad Al Mahraqi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Initiatives, outlined the ministry's strategy in the youth sector and highlighted key projects and initiatives related to smart cities, as well as efforts to enhance the digital and infrastructure capabilities of youth facilities. He also discussed the ministry's efforts to equip youth empowerment centres in the Kingdom to align with advancements in innovation and modern technology. The methodology adopted by the ministry for major youth-related projects and programmes was also presented, focusing on discovering, nurturing, and showcasing young talent, particularly in science, technology, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The IMD delegation toured the Muharraq Model Youth Centre, where they were introduced to the facilities, services, and advanced smart infrastructure available at the centre.
