The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth today launched a 'Youth Ambassadors Programme'. The programme is being implemented in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The 4-day programme is carried out at Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science in Muscat Governorate. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs. The programme seeks to prepare young people to participate professionally in regional and international forums, including events organized by UN organizations, and join Oman's official delegations taking part in regional and international conferences.
