North a'sharqiyah: Acting in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of North A'Sharqiyah, the Children First Association, and the Ministry of Education, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) organized dialogue sessions for children as part of the World Children's Day programme, themed "My Day, My Rights" this year. The event was held under the auspices of Mahmoud bin Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A'Sharqiyah, and attended by HH Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said and Sumaira Chowdhury, UNICEF Representative in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, the dialogue sessions were aimed at students from public and private schools, special education schools, and social integration schools. The sessions were designed to engage with the students by listening to their opinions, answering their queries, and discussing children's rights related to education, health, the environment, and climate change.
The sessions also explored how students could contribute to promoting children's rights and education within their communities.
