Muscat: Two soldiers died when a military helicopter crashed in western South Korea. Military authorities reported that an AH-1S Cobra helicopter went down in Gapyeong, approximately 55 km northeast of Seoul, shortly after taking off for a training mission. According to Oman News Agency, the crash did not result in any fires or explosions. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the incident. The accident took place during a flight training exercise that was designed to familiarize crew members with emergency landing procedures.
