Former US President Donald Trump accepted the Republican Party's nomination for him as its official candidate in the presidential elections, set to take place in November. In a speech late Thursday at the conclusion of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Trump called for unity amidst disputes on different topics in the country. The acceptance speech comes after less than a week since the assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, the situation of Trump's opponent in the elections, current President Joe Biden's fate remains unstable as calls for him to withdraw from the elections are rising within the Democratic Party. The Party is set to hold its national convention in Chicago, Illinois from August 19 to 22, as doubts that Biden would continue competing in the elections are growing. Source: Kuwait News Agency
