Muscat: The third edition of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition launched today at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by Asas for Business and Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the exhibition will run till 29 October.
According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Sayyid Ibrahim Said Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and attended by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, along with several officials.
The exhibition features participation from 200 local companies and institutions showcasing the finest varieties of Omani dates and honey. In addition, 50 international companies representing 20 countries are also participating, presenting the best types of dates, honey, their derivatives, and the equipment and tools specific to harvesting these two products, alongside various other harvesting tools and equipment.
