Symposium on Omani Frankincense, Cultural Heritage Held in Salalah

A symposium on Omani frankincense and cultural heritage was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.

Titled "Frankincense and Cultural Heritage", the symposium was organized by a research team specialized in social life narratives of frankincense.

The symposium included four working papers, a visual presentation on associations of Omani frankincense with social life and ancient civilizations.

On the sidelines of the symposium, the organizers held an exhibition featuring a collection of paintings, types of frankincense and traditional tools used in the extraction of frankincense.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority.
