Seoul: South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on Friday that South Korea, the United States, and Japan will conduct the ‘Freedom Edge’ trilateral multidomain military drills this month as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the exercises will take place in international waters east and south of Jeju Island from September 15 to 19.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that the upcoming drills are part of regular training among the three countries. The exercise derives its name from the US bilateral drills with its Asian allies, ‘Freedom Shield’ with South Korea and ‘Keen Edge’ with Japan.
