Gaza: Seven more civilians died of man-made starvation over the past 24 hours across Gaza, medical sources announced today. Earlier today, a child died of the ongoing undernutrition due to the Israeli occupation's relentless blockade on the war-torn enclave. According to Oman News Agency, since 2 March 2025, Israeli occupation authorities have closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of most food and medical aid, which has led to the spread of man-made famine inside the Strip. The total starvation-related deaths has now jumped to 339, including 124 children. An international food insecurity classification, involving the United Nations, confirmed that man-made famine has occurred in Gaza Governorate and is expected to spread to Deir Al-Balah and Khan Younis governorates by the end of September. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) stated that more than half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions, which is Phase 5 of the classification-ch aracterized by extreme hunger, death, destitution, and critically high levels of acute malnutrition. The classification also indicated that another 1.07 million people (54% of the population) are facing Phase 4, which is emergency-level acute food insecurity. Additionally, 396,000 people (20% of the population) are facing Phase 3, classified as a crisis-level food insecurity.
