A conference on training second-in-command leaders kicked off in the Wilayat of Salalah today. The two-day conference reviews prominent developments in the fields of leadership, modern management, means of improving functional and institutional performance and methods of enhancing administrative competencies in various sectors. Organized by the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Al Fikr Foundation, the conference brings together speakers and experts from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad. The participants will explore measures to keep pace with global technological updates in the abovementioned fields with a view to achieving sustainable development and upgrading national competencies and capabilities. The activities of the conference include panel discussions about ideas on establishing strong communication networks that contribute to supporting professional careers, work environments and simulation of institutional reality.
