Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. (93/2025) on ratifying the air transport agreement between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the Syrian Arab Republic, signed in Montreal on 22 September 2025.
According to Oman News Agency, Article (1) of the decree ratifies the agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree. The agreement aims to enhance air transport cooperation between Oman and Syria, facilitating the movement of goods and passengers and potentially boosting economic ties between the two nations.
Article (2) specifies that the decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue, ensuring the agreement’s provisions are legally binding and operational. The ratification marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding air travel options between the two countries.
