Nizwa: Stanford University has added 21 researchers from the University of Nizwa to its list of top 2 percent of scientists worldwide for the year 2025.
According to Oman News Agency, Stanford’s list comprises the most influential researchers in various scientific fields, based on indices of research citations and the quality of publishing. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Al Harrasi, Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies, Research and External Relations at the University of Nizwa, emphasized the significance of this recognition, describing Stanford University’s list as one of the most prominent international rankings based on precise criteria.
Dr. Al Harrasi explained that the criteria for the list include the number of scientific publications and the impact of such research, as evidenced by citations and responses from the scientific community. He highlighted that the inclusion of 21 scientists from the University of Nizwa is a testament to the university’s efforts in enhancing research and innovation systems, supporting researchers, and elevating the institution’s global scientific standing. This recognition, he noted, reflects the excellence of competencies in various fields at the University of Nizwa.
