Muscat, The total value of property transactions in the Sultanate at the end of April 2021 increased by 24.8% to reach RO 991 million.
The collected real estate transaction fees were RO 28.6 million, comprising a rise by 47.4%.
The traded value of sales contracts by the end of April 2021 went up by 81.1% to reach RO 424.5 million, and the number of executed sales contracts saw a rise by 123.9% to reach 31,175 compared to 13,923 contracts in April 2020.
The traded value of mortgage contracts went up 1.3% to reach RO 558.5 million compared to RO 551.2 million in the same period of 2020. The number of mortgage contracts reached 6,427 comprising a surge by 79.8% compared to 3,575 in April 2020.
The traded value of exchange (barter) contracts dropped by 6.8% to reach RO 7.9 million compared to RO 8.4 million in the same period of 2020.
The number of plots issued at the end of April 2021 was 92,779, which is an increase of 75% compared to the end of April 2020, when 53,031 plots were issued.
The number of plots allocated to GCC citizens went up by 63.6% to reach 270 plots compared to 165 plots during the same period of 2020, the data showed.
