Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, presided this morning over Sunday Mass service in Diman.

In his religious homily, the Patriarch underlined that “Lebanon suffered a lot from those who assumed power 30 years ago, for they exhausted the state and stole its money, and they do not want what is best for the state.”

Commenting on the Qornet Sawda incident, al-Rahi said: “What happened pained us. We are counting on the army to control security, and we urge the people of Bcharre to exercise self-restraint.”
