Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group and Oman’s State Council Strengthen Legislative Ties


Muscat: The Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group from the Qatari Shura Council today visited the State Council with the aim of exchanging expertise and strengthening strategic cooperation ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.



According to Oman News Agency, the delegation was received by Sheikh Dr. Hilal Ali Al Hinai, Vice Chairman of the State Council, Khalid Ahmed Al Saadi, Secretary-General of the State Council, and several officials from the General Secretariat. The visit included cordial discussions that underscored the robust bilateral relations between the two countries. Both parties highlighted the significance of enhancing cooperation between their legislative institutions.



The visiting delegation was briefed on the State Council’s role, its responsibilities, developmental milestones, key activities, achievements, and the operational mechanisms of its main bodies. Members of the Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group expressed their gratitude to the State Council for the warm reception, commending the strong bilateral ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar.



At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the Council’s premises, where they were introduced to various facilities.
