Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will join countries around the world tomorrow, Tuesday, in celebrating International Metrology Day, which falls on 20 May every year. The occasion highlights the essential role of measurement in all aspects of daily life, as well as in economic and scientific fields. According to Oman News Agency, this year's celebration carries the theme 'Measurements for All, Anytime', marking the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Metre Convention. This convention was a pivotal milestone in the history of international cooperation in metrology and laid the foundation for unified and globally recognized measurement systems.
