Oman Showcases “Lego Queen” Film at Oran International Arabic Film Festival


Oran: Oman is making its mark at the 13th edition of the Oran International Arabic Film Festival in Oran, western Algeria, with the participation of the film “Lego Queen.” The festival is showcasing 63 cinematic works that reflect different artistic schools and trends from across the Arab world.



According to Oman News Agency, the official competition at the festival features 10 long narrative films. Among these is the Omani film “Lego Queen,” directed by Haitham Sulaiman. The 60-minute film explores the life of a girl named “Dhei,” who navigates life after the loss of her mother during childhood.



In addition to “Lego Queen,” other notable films in the competition include “Sesame,” which features Jordanian participation, and “For a Handful of Sand,” which includes Algerian participation. The festival also comprises 10 long documentary films and 15 short narrative films, contributing to the diverse representation of Arab cinema.
