Oman Participates in 95th Session of Arab Permanent Media Committee

Cairo, The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Information, participated today in the 95th session of the Arab Permanent Media Committee convened here in preparation for the Arab Information Ministers Council’s meetings.

The Sultanate was represented at the meeting by Ali Khalfan al-Jabri, Information Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Information.

Al Jabri underscored the significance of the meeting after recent developments in the Palestinian issue.

In a press statement here, Al-Jabri spoke about a proposal to add all that relates to the Palestinian issue (including human and land aspects) to the agenda of the Arab Permanent Media Committee and the Arab Media Action Plan abroad.

Other issues of concerned discussed by the Committee included ‘child content’, ‘Arab child media’ and ways to unifying and enable Arab media efforts to have strong presence in the international arena, said Al-Jabri.

Al-Jabri called for the compilation of the Arab content through the Arab League and meetings of the Arab Information Ministers Council’s meetings.
