A’dhahirah: The Sultanate of Oman joined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebrating its 95th National Day in a ceremony organized by the General Secretariat for National Celebrations in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police at the Empty Quarter border crossing in A’Dhahirah Governorate, which connects Oman with the land borders of Saudi Arabia.
According to Oman News Agency, the event program featured a number of artistic performances reflecting the deep, distinguished relations between the two countries. The ceremony began with musical pieces performed by the Royal Oman Police Band, alongside a visual presentation showcasing the historical ties, followed by a patriotic song accompanied by a traditional ‘Ayyala’ folk art performance.
The celebration also included participation from a Saudi folk arts troupe, a paragliding display, and a series of traditional performances such as the enthusiastic ‘Al Razfa’ and ‘Al Aazi’ arts.
Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, emphasized the importance of the land border crossing that links the two nations, enhancing cooperation, trade, investment exchange, and social ties.
He noted the upcoming preparations for import and export operations between the two countries in the Economic Zone of A’Dhahirah Governorate, which is currently under development near the Empty Quarter border crossing. He explained that the visions of both countries are aligned toward integration, building on their historical and fraternal relations, for a promising future under both nations’ wise leadership.
The celebration of the Saudi National Day reflects the deep fraternal bonds and ties of affection connecting the two countries and their peoples, embodying their cooperative relations across various fields.
The event was attended by a number of officials from both the Omani and Saudi sides.
