Oman Inks Two Agreements with OPEC Fund for International Development


The Sultanate of Oman’s government today signed two funding agreements with OPEC Fund for International Development.

The signing took place on the sidelines of Oman’s participation in the joint meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held in Washington.

The agreements were signed on behalf of Oman’s government by Sultan Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.

The first agreement pertains to funding the first phase of Daba-Lima-Khasab road (70 km long). Meanwhile, the second agreement pertains to supporting the operations of the private sector in Oman by providing direct funding for investment projects.
