Oman HR Investment Conference Underlines Impact of AI on Business Future


Muscat: The 10th edition of “Oman Conference for Investment in Human Resources” kicked off today.

The two-day conference discusses many concepts, namely studying the impact of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) on the future of business, establishing advanced work environments and enhancing values and promoters of institutional performance.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Sabbaa Hamdan Al Saadi, Secretary General of the Secretariat General of National Celebrations, in the presence of representatives of government departments and private establishments.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Al-Asayel Company. Its working papers elaborate on updates in competition arenas, the benefits of grooming talents, the culture of leadership for the future, and means of maximizing the uses of human capabilities applications.

A special dialogue session will be dedicated to Oman Vision 2040. It will be titled “Human resources, business s
ystems and future challenges’.

The conference targets chairmen and members of boards of directors, Chief Executive Officers, general managers, heads leaders of the public and private sector establishments, heads of human resources departments, training specialists and talented young people interested in developing leadership skills.

Working papers and discussion panels during the second day of the conference will discuss the ‘Importance of measuring the outcome of investment in different business fields’, ‘Anticipating the Future of Business’, the ‘Impact of information technology and artificial intelligence on the jobs of the future’, the’Methodology used in measuring returns from investment on the future of business’, and ‘The role of education and training in shaping the future of business’, ‘Empowering human resources’ and the ‘Role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of business’.
