Oman Engages in Key Discussions at Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024.


Dubai: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, actively participated in the Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024, which took place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event served as a platform for exploring social development themes and enhancing regional cooperation.

According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Oman’s Minister of Social Development, was a key participant in a panel discussion themed ‘The future of social development: regional cooperation and integration’. The discussion highlighted challenges and opportunities for sustainable social development in the region, focusing on social empowerment and inclusiveness. The session aimed to explore new avenues for fostering sustainable development across the region.

Additionally, Nahla Abdulwahab Al Hamadi, a Member of the State Council, contributed to a panel on ‘Women in the parliament: exceptional abilities’. Her participation underscored the role of women in legislative bodies and their potential to dr
ive social change. The forum provided a valuable opportunity for Oman to engage in significant dialogues on enhancing the role of women in society and governance.
