Sofia: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Bulgaria held a round of official talks in Sofia, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations.
According to Oman News Agency, the Omani delegation was led by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, while the Bulgarian side was headed by Prime Minister Rosen Dimitrov Zhelyazkov. The discussions covered various aspects of friendship and cooperation between the two nations, with an emphasis on developing partnerships in the economic, cultural, and scientific sectors. The primary goal is to exchange joint benefits and realize common interests.
Both parties also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern. They emphasized the importance of fostering diplomatic coordination, holding regular consultations, and exchanging visits to achieve shared goals. These include consolidating pillars of peace and security, achieving international justice, and promoting peaceful coexistence and prosperity among nations.
The session was attended by Yousef Ahmed Al Jabri, the Sultanate of Oman’s Non-resident Ambassador to Bulgaria, Munthir Mahfoudh Al Mandheri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with other officials from both countries.
