Muscat: The total number of passengers traveling through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of February 2025 reached 2,535,246. Meanwhile, the total number of flights landing and departing from the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of February 2025 reached 16,705 flights. According to Oman News Agency, the number of passengers traveling through Muscat International Airport by the end of February 2025 reached 2,280,280 passengers, compared to 2,463,856 passengers during the same period in 2024, comprising a decrease of 7.5%. The number of flights through Muscat International Airport by the end of February 2025 reached 15,133 flights, a decline of 11% compared to 16,996 flights in the same period last year. Omani nationals topped the number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of February 2025, with 82,244 passenger arrivals and 62,816 passenger departures, followed by Indian nationals reaching 75,510 incoming passengers and 70,908 departing passengers, and Pak istani nationality with 24,876 arriving passengers and 22,905 departing passengers. The number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 244,950 passengers, comprising an increase of 5.4% compared to 232,077 passengers in the same period in 2024. The passengers travelled on board 1,444 flights, a decrease of 8.1% from 1,572 flights during the same period last year. Sohar Airport recorded a significant decrease in the number of flights by 74.5% by the end of February 2025, with 28 flights compared to 110 flights in the same period of the previous year. The total number of passengers also dropped by 98%, reaching 226 passengers compared to 11,410 passengers by the end of February 2024. As for Duqm Airport, it experienced a 3.8% decline in the number of flights by the end of February 2025, recording 100 flights compared to 104 flights in the same period of the previous year. The number of passengers also decreased by 3.3%, reaching 10,150 passengers compared to 10,492 passengers by the end of February 202 4.
