Muscat, Oman Football Association (OFA) has addressed an official letter of objection to the FIFA against what it termed as “stark clear refereeing mistakes” made during the National Football Team’s match with its Qatari counterpart as part of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
The refereeing decision reflected negatively on the final score, OFA said.
OFA identified the refereeing mistakes as: Giving a wrong penalty against Oman team, granting a controversial goal to Qatar without resort to the VAR technology and ignoring the repeated foul play against the Omani team, said OFA.
